Life Through The Nikon's Eye
58In my last hub I talked of attracting all we wish to gain in life through positive thinking and it got me thinking of how to make my own "dream" come true. And what is that, you might ask... Well I wish to be a professional photographer. At the moment I have a job at JcPenney's Lifetouch Portrait Studio and I am loving it! On my own free time I mainly take pictures of objects -- only now have I actually begun to take pictures of people, with them being mainly small children. I have not shared my pictures with the 'world' -- except for Facebook -- and would love to get some feedback from the Hub community.
I will not be posting pictures I have taken of the children because I have no consent from the parents, but I will add my first 'shoot' that was my sister's senior pictures... ENJOY!
I do enjoy taking pictures of pretty much anything and would love to make it a career. I have shown you some of my favorite pictures and would love nothing more than some feedback on whether or not they are career material.

As an artist I can't appreciate portraits by most photographers as they pander to the subjects vanity usually and I want light and shade, depth and form, detail and character, not the stuff of vanity I am afraid. I like the shower head, light bulbs, horses, bird and dandy lion though. Don't pack up the day job, ho sorry it is the day job, just joking, keep up the good work, thanx, Gareth.
Remember that a quality lens is better than a new camera, and that its the photogrpaher that makes the image not the camera. I have a 4yr old dslr that produces fantastic images with my newly acquired pro sigma lens. Good glass is the secret to great images.
Awesome photos. Especially the one that caught the water droplets from the showerhead.
Your pictures are beautiful. Keep at it! I especially like the dandelion and the horses. Thanks for sharing.
